Our bet on future

” Be obscure clearly ” – E.B. White

Photography is really just a tipping point. What happens because of it is a lot more. Just to set our-self an example, one of our dear students Nagaraj called me and mentioned ,he started to walk. And take more photos. It was such an inspiring and unbelievable message , I could help share it here. A while back I met him and he started taking pictures. His aim was to become a wildlife photographer and started believing it. Disability aside, he went to a wildlife shoot in a wheelchair and inspired everyone around him.

Just a random image of student fooling around and we fooling with him

Another student, Aftab called up and he’s now looking at participating at a few photography competitions. He wants to become a studio photographer and likes abstract. Many more students keep in touch either here or there. And today , we just delivered a computer to one of our student, Rakesh’s house. Now the entire lot of students from that area can use it and improve their employment skills and personality development. Though Rakesh dude looked at us( thank you Sangeeta and Gaurav) lugging the computer with an expression that suggested something like “Obsolete” . Wonder if it was for me or the computer !!

By the way , if anyone wants to spare a couple of hours in teaching the students a few more computer skills ,please let us know.  Though we all are working  , things happen every now and then. Friends keep chipping and many keep sending queries. Some even pass across computer ( like this one sent across by Joginder for students) ,cameras and journals. Our new logo is nearly done and that too was worked voluntarily and happily by another friend.  I hope many more join us in teaching too and it will be great to connect across. For me ,I realize that as long as we keep teaching and doing workshops rest  all will happen. It is a smart thing to bet on something good and we are happy for now .

About happy camera club

Happy camera club is an initiative brought upon by a thought to teach the less privileged basic aspects of a skill like photography which further can be used by them in their day to day life. To leave them with an additional skill set to choose from. A win-win situation ,we aim to work with organizations and people who support this cause.
