Pehli exhibition ! ( first exhibit)

the entire week felt like diwali !!

inside the exhibition. we both hanged and laid a few prints

i wanted to do the first photography exhibition at APD despite clear warnings from a few friends on a low turnout because of the location and finding the way. But guess what ?
A few close friends came all way from Delhi. That was such a surprise !!

And the first hour and half of exhibition was a total riot. The entire hall was packed with children , students and staff of APD. Exactly the reason for having exhibition there ( to first show the images at the source itself) . Also a few journalist friends turned up to cover the event. Once you reach APD ,you would love it. We got the best area in the huge compound to showcase the work. A lovely courtyard cornered with trees and benches all around.

I shall put up more pictures from exhibition soon, as the students decided to become the official photographers of their exhibition .

Nearly everyone who came in bought something- our bag ,posters or prints ( yes sir , we sold 6 prints at very first go 😉 ) because they liked the pictures  .

A friend gifted us a camera as well….

And we gave all participating students a certificate which can be utilized by them. That i think was a best practice.

50 % of profit from prints goes to the students who took the print.

There’s a lot to write now. And lot to showcase as well. But we shall take it bit by bit. A few ideas to implement and a couple of new photography workshop batches to start with. Shall keep you posted. For now its a breather

phew !!

About happy camera club

Happy camera club is an initiative brought upon by a thought to teach the less privileged basic aspects of a skill like photography which further can be used by them in their day to day life. To leave them with an additional skill set to choose from. A win-win situation ,we aim to work with organizations and people who support this cause.
